Enchanted Essaouira 3-Day Tour
Arrive in Marrakech, meet your guide, and depart to Essaouira, where you will stay in a riad, a typical Moroccan house with an open courtyard renovated as a guest house. Dinner will be hosted in a charming local restaurant. The next day after breakfast, you will be taken on a day tour of Essaouira, an 18th-century town enclosed by Gothic battlements. Blueshuttered houses and colonnades, wood workshops and art galleries provide a colourful backdrop to the beach. The afternoon may be spent at your leisure, admiring the city and its beach. Return to your Marrakech hotel the next morning.
Big South and Casbah 3-Day Tour
Tour does not include flight from Casablanca to Ouarzazate.
You will be met at the Ouarzazate airport by your private guide and escorted to your hotel, Le Berbere Palace, the only five-star hotel in southern Morocco. Time permitting, you will enjoy a guided city tour of Ouarzazate in the afternoon, then a three-course dinner at Le Berbere Palace. After breakfast, board the chauffer-driven Land Rover to explore the scenic Todra and Dades Valleys. Lunch will be on your own by the famous Todra canyons (30m wide, with 250m-high vertical cliffs). The exotic landscape, dry desert climate and crystalline skies have made this location a favourite with the international film industry. A four-course dinner will be provided in the Le Berbere Palace’s Moroccan restaurant. The following day, drive to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, which at 2260m is one of the highest peaks in Northern Africa. The drive includes a stop at the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, one of the most exotic and well-preserved casbahs in the entire Atlas region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Imperial Cities 4-Day Tour
Fly from Marrakech to Casablanca, where you will be met by your private guide and driven to the city of Fez, the spiritual heart of Morocco. Guests will stay at the Palais Jamai Hotel, established in 1879. After lunch on your own, enjoy a guided city tour of Fez; within the walls of its medina lies the world’s largest intact medieval city. The next day, your guided city tour of Fez continues with stops at souks, Medersa Attarine and the splendid fountains at Palais Nejjarine. Lunch is taken at your leisure in the medina. On day three, it’s an early start for a one-hour drive to Meknes, where you will enjoy a guided city tour of Place el-Hedim, Bab Lakhmiss, Bab el-Mansour, and the Moulay Ismail mausoleum, one of the very few holy sites in Morocco that welcomes non-Muslims. After lunch on your own in Meknes, the next stop is Rabat, Morocco’s political capital. It is called the “Garden City” for its abundance of green spaces and beautiful landscaping. A guided tour will include la Tour Hassan the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Royal Palace, the Kasbah des Oudaïas, and the Chellah Roman ruins. The final stop is Casablanca, one of Africa’s largest ports. Casablanca is built on the site of an ancient Phoenician stronghold called Anfa. Upon arrival, settle in at the Hyatt Regency, and enjoy an evening that concludes with dinner at Rick’s Café. Depending on your return flight, you will be able to enjoy a guided city tour which includes the residential area of Anfa, the United Nations square, the Royal Palace, the seaside promenade and the famous Hassan II Mosque. Transfers will be provided to the airport for your flight home.
