The Hotel Nikko has been selected as the SIU 2012 Headquarter Hotel. Rooms are being held for SIU Congress participants at special rates. Reservations must be made through the Housing Bureau to guarantee the rates negotiated for the Congress.

IMPORTANT: ROOM TYPES
Please note that, in Japan, “single” rooms are in fact very small (anywhere from 11m2 to 20m2), and perhaps not the best choice for overseas visitors. A “twin single” room is intended for use by one guest, while a “twin” is intended for use by two guests. If you are booking a “twin” room (for two people), be sure to specify whether you wish to have one bed or two (a more common option in Japan).

ROOM ATTRIBUTION
Hotel rooms must be reserved with the Housing Bureau before August 30, 2012. After this date, room availability cannot be guaranteed. Rooms will be allocated on first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can only be guaranteed for the period specified on the housing form, which should be duly completed with the credit card details and sent to the Housing Bureau (see above).

Any changes in arrival or departure dates, type of accommodation required or special needs should be indicated in writing to the Housing Bureau. Adjustments will be made according to hotel availability.
